Preston advises a diverse range of technology and consumer internet businesses on corporate and commercial law issues, including formation and capital raising, commercial contracts, and regulatory advice.

Preston previously served as a corporate partner in the Digital Commerce group at Brown Rudnick, LLP. Before that, as a co-founder and general counsel of an early enterprise blockchain startup, he advised on a full range of startup legal issues. He and his team released the first permissioned fork of Ethereum in 2014 and designed blockchain prototypes for a number of leading global companies, including tier 1 global banks, global consulting firms, and the R3 interbank technology consortium.

Preston was ranked No. 57 by industry publication CoinTelegraph on a list of the “Top 100 people in Crypto and Blockchain” for 2020.
